Characteristics: The Australian willow has pale green, simple, lanceolate shaped leaves, that are around five inches long, and half an inch wide. It is considered a winter evergreen tree. Australian willow is a graceful tree that has an upright habit in youth and becomes more rounded with age.

Natural History:  The G. parviflora is an endemic to Australia. However, it has been carried to the USA. A G. parviflora in Goleta is registered as a California Big Tree. It measures forty-nine feet high, with a trunk circumference of eighty-two inches and a crown spread of sixty-four feet(2).
Cultivation Notes: G. parviflora grows best in full sun, with moderate water usage, and grows at a moderate rate. Training is often needed in order to keep its upright shape.
