The Senegalia visco tree grows in the tropical areas  around the world including Africa, South America and Australia (1).  The main distribution of this tree is in its native habitiat of Argentina (3).
Cultivation Notes:
The growing and flowering period of this tree is in the spring (1).  When propagating by seed, bury seeds about 2mm deep in well drained soil.  They will germinate in approximately 21 days and will grow optimally at a soil temperature of 25 degrees C (3,4). 
Ethnobotany:

The sturdy wood of S. visco is sometimes used in carpentry.  The tree also has uses as an anti-inflammatory, analgesic and has anti-platelet properties (5).
