Characteristics: F. emoryi is a very striking species from Baja California. The central spines are nearly straight and may grow up to ten inches long. It has a globose stem, with eight to twelve radial spines, they can be either thread-like or needle-shaped. Each spine is about two inches long and can be brown or gray. It is considered an evergreen cactus.
